what crap! First of all I have most of those ( so far sucks imo btw I dont have that one ), second why market these huge expensive sets only rich fans could afford? This whole video thing pisses me off. Unforunately the dead weren't a tenth as on the ball with video and they were with audio, very little vintage in their prime footage is out there. I about crapped when I saw that France 71 was out there, seems a lot of the good stuff like that and the 72 Tivoli show were filmed in Europe and the band probably doesnt have the rights too. SSDD perhaps may NEVER come out due to who owns it and the quality not being " good" enough. The quality is only going to get worse, who here WOULDNT want to see that phenominal Dark Star in the best quality that technology could master warts and all? So what else is out there do we know? I know they said there's a lot more Winterland 74 Dead movie footage. Best shows from that era? Of course not, in playing or audio quality BUT i'll take any 74 over just about every year after. Freakin get it out there already. We aint getting any younger

I still want to know why "Sunshine Daydream" hasn't been remastered (which would have to address the Naked Pole Guy and his "situation") and commercially released. THAT is some good music.

Dead Ahead and So Far are pretty good, but you're right about the rest of those dvd's. Why can't they release some stuff from the 70's? The GD movie and the Winterland one aren't very good.

Am I the only one that finds watching the band fairly boring?

I love watching GD videos. I'm sort of a collector actually. I probably have about fifty or so show. I enjoy Bob's rock star routine and watching Jerry's onstage romances with Brent and later Bruce.

Nope. I have a few of these, and I've seen all of them, but other than the GD movie I find most of them nap inducing. Visually, the Dead were duller than dirt.

That part seems too good to believe. I actually don't own any of these on DVD (have 4-5 on barely playable VHS) so this is now at the top of my birthday list.

I already have

The Grateful Dead Movie
The Closing Of Winterland
Dead Ahead
Truckin' Up To Buffalo
View From The Vault II
View From The Vault IV

If I didn't already have those, I'd jump on all those DVD's for only $100!!
